The Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) will host its first conference on healthcare in Montreal this June. INFORMS Healthcare 2011 takes place at the Hilton Bonaventure Hotel in Montréal from June 20-22.
The Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences (INFORMS) today announced the establishment of the annual UPS George D. Smith Prize for operations research. The prize will recognize the practical importance of operations research while honoring academic leaders who embody the beliefs of Smith, the second CEO of UPS.
MISO, which manages one of the world’s largest energy markets, won the 2011 Franz Edelman Award for Achievement in Operations Research and the Management Sciences at a banquet sponsored by the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) in Chicago tonight.
Business analytics, which has received plaudits from Harvard Business Review, Gartner, and Accenture for aiding better decisions at organizations, will be the focus of a conference hosted by the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS®). The conference focuses on ways that successful organizations use quantitative methods to analyze massive amounts of data.
CSAV’s analytics team is among six finalists that will compete for the INFORMS 2011 Franz Edelman Award for Achievement in Operations Research and the Management Sciences in Chicago on April 11 at the Marriott Chicago Downtown.
