Wagner Prize for Excellence in the Practice of Advanced Analytics and Operations Research. The award recognizes their impactful work in enhancing fulfillment efficiency to improve customer satisfaction.

Smith Prize. The award recognizes excellence in preparing students to become practitioners of operations research and analytics.

She is being recognized for her exceptional contributions to business/industry, government and consulting, and service to the operations research and analytics profession.

Smith Prize, which recognizes excellence in preparing students to become practitioners of operations research and analytics and data science.

BALTIMORE, MD, January 17, 2024 – INFORMS, the largest association for the decision and data sciences, has selected six finalists for the annual Franz Edelman Award for Achievement in Advanced Analytics, Operations Research and Management Science, the world’s most prestigious award for achievement in the practice of analytics and operations research (O.R.). 

BALTIMORE, MD, October 30, 2023 – INFORMS, the largest association for the decision and data sciences, has awarded the 2023 Daniel H. Wagner Prize for Excellence in the Practice of Advanced Analytics and Operations Research to the Decision Engineering team from Intel for their work on the transition of semiconductor products from a single large monolithic chip to an assembly of dozens of small chiplets (aka “disaggregation”). This work has realized more than $500 million in benefits so far. The award was presented at the 2023 INFORMS Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona. 

BALTIMORE, MD, October 12, 2023 – The 2023 John von Neumann Theory Prize, awarded by INFORMS, is bestowed to Christos H. Papadimitriou and Mihalis Yannakakis for their significant contributions to the field of operations research and analytics.
